Internet Marketing-How to Build an Online Marketing Empire

Internet marketing can be difficult to do, or it can be easy to do, it just depends on whether you do things right or wrong. On that note, I am going to tell you this: you need to get educated in whatever it is you want to learn online. You think you can reinvent the wheel? Why? There are thousands of people online who are already making money – why not learn from them?

I am partial to creating your own products with which to build your online marketing empire. I think that creating your own products is the best way to create long term profits. Now, I don’t think you should rule out affiliate marketing all together, in fact in the beginning when you are building your list, you can start with affiliate marketing, to make some nice initial money. But long term, I believe in creating your own product.

So how do you build your own online internet marketing empire:

1) Decide on a niche area. You have to become specialized – there really isn’t room for another ebay online. You want to sell everything under the sun? Go buy a good book on how to make money with ebay, and start selling on ebay. Otherwise, decide on a niche area.

2) Build a content web site around your niche area.

3) Put a squeeze page that compels visitors to opt in to your email list on that web site to send all of your traffic to.

4) Write articles and post them online, with links pointing back to your squeeze page.

5) Write an email campaign that contains a lot of good content.

6) Join some affiliate programs so you can initially monetize your list.

7) Start writing your own ebooks, and as you write each new one, replace one affiliate product with your new product.

Keep doing these steps over and over again – it can be done – I have sold $5600 worth of ebooks my sixth month online – if I can do it, I imagine you can too.

Internet Trends in 2007-What You Must Be Aware Of

Before we completely move to what 2007 brings, there are some worthwhile things to remember this 2006.

One of the most prominent has to do with the world's biggest search engine, none other than Google. In 2006 Google started to put more weight on the use of Latent Semantic Indexing technology, or LSI, for short.

The use of this technology seeks to lessen the incidence of ranking manipulation in the search engine results. Over and above this, however, is the intent of returning more relevant sites and results for a query sent out, eliminating much of the "useless weeds" that clutter the internet.

In very simple terms, latent semantic indexing tells a search engine (in this case Google) just what a page is all about. This now goes beyond simply matching search query text, or text typed in by web searchers looking for information or products. The model is far more complicated and "smarter" than any indexing technology used before.

How to circumvent LSI? Is this even possible? If you want to rank well in the search engines (for targeted, free web traffic) there's no shortcut for sure, except writing and putting high quality content on your website with real value for the website visitors you're targeting.

Writing or providing more in-depth content and information necessarily means that you put in all the related words for that topic in proper context, less in a manipulative way. Alternatively, when using links back to your site from other articles or other link sources, vary your anchor text (the actual text you use to hyperlink back to your site).

For a website on seo, for example, mix the anchor text using different words such as seo, search engine optimization, search engine, search engines (pl.), search engine tips and techniques, etc.

Consistently updating your content and continually refining it also has the added benefit of getting your site frequently indexed by the search engines; if your content is also original enough, you avoid penalties of duplicate content.

Search engine algorithms nothwitstanding, though, now it's time to mention a trend that's slowly becoming more pronounced and which is sure to be a big influence to the world at large in the coming months (maybe years), and that is social networking sites.

This was actually borne out of the content provided in these sites, and revolved around information that was always accessible and new: information (such as video) and varying interests of its members.

The aim is to bring together internet surfers and visitors towards sharing info (or content) about themselves and their interests. Undoubtedly, if the number of subscribers or members alone are to be the basis, these networking sites are quite popular, especially with the younger market.

MySpace, for example, has become the virtual online equivalent of "hanging out" at a mall for most teens, all 60-70 million of them. With MySpace you can provide your own content by uploading music, information and news about yourself using your profile.

Other popular social networking sites include Facebook (targeted at college students)Xanga (a blog community site), LinkedIn (for professionals) and most recently (October 2006) YouTube, a site where you can upload personal (or whatever else) video.

Just what type of perceived worth can you attach to some of these companies? Well let's let the dollar figures speak for themselves: in 2005 Rupert Murdoch of News Corp. paid $580 million to MySpace as part of a $1.3Billion internet acquisition scheme (it now becomes part of Fox Interactive Media).

And in October of 2006 Google paid a whopping $1.65 Billion to acquire YouTube, the most expensive purchase it has made in the last eight years.

Large figures, definitely geared towards giving advertisers a new playground to extend their ads on and promote their products with. Especially since the internet is rapidly replacing viewing time from television these days as part of most people's changing lifestyles.

If you're an online businessman, what's important now is for you to familiarize yourself with these networking sites since some of them (such as YouTube) can become an avenue for you to extend your internet marketing to should you have a product or service you want advertised.

Some seminars or do-it-yourself videos can be easily uploaded online using YouTube), which if used creatively can definitely expand your prospect or customer base online. Many are discovering that Video is fast becoming a good medium for teaching, so take your cue from there.

After all, social networking is about developing your own group using commonalities you have. There's no reason why you shouldn't use it to your advantage.

Email Marketing Tips - How To Build A List Of Responsive Subscribers

When you treat prospects and customers with respect and cater for their needs by providing them with a top quality service you will create long term buyers and repeat visitors. If they really like the service you provide they will more than likely recommend you to other potential customers.

If you provide enough other people with what they want, you will get what you want also. So if you provide quality content and an excellent service you will quickly build rapport with your subscribers who will in turn become long term customers.

So the key to creating a responsive list is to provide high quality information and unbiased views and opinions about various strategies and products in your chosen niche market. You don't always have to be positive about everything, if you don't like a certain product your subscribers will find it refreshing if you give your honest opinion about it (rather than just hyped up sales pitches all of the time).

Try to make your writing style fun and exciting by being creative and use casual language as if you were actually talking to them in person. If you can brand yourself by being different you will quickly stand out from the crowd.

In order to create a responsive list you need to focus on a specific niche market so that everyone is interested in the same thing. When you send relevant content and related product recommendations you will receive the best response because its what your subscribers are actually interested in.

Once you start to attract subscribers who have their own list you will be able to implement viral marketing. If you send high quality reports in PDF format (that include details about your website) your subscribers will most likely send it to their list as well and this will generate a sudden surge of new subscribers and sales.

Just make sure that when you have created a responsive list you don't lower your standards because you don't want to ruin the reputation you have built up. You must be very careful about which products you recommend and always make sure that you have actually used them yourself. Your subscribers will quickly lose respect for you if you start recommending poor quality products and services.

Building a responsive list takes a lot of time and effort but the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Once you are generating substantial profits you can always hire professional writers to create high quality content and products for you.

Email Marketing - How To Increase Its Effectiveness

Email marketing is one of the most effective marketing tactics utilized by current internet business owners. It involves more than creating simple sales messages and with a little bit of creativity can become a powerful and even fun marketing tool.

There are many different ways to approach email marketing and each niche will have its own way of effectively utilizing this technique. Some ideas to keep in mind that you may find interesting:

1. Try to keep your email lists as targeted as possible. Lists that reach a specific group of people will generally have higher response rates. This allows you to really aim your emails at the specific interests and concerns of those particular users.

2. Build your own email list by creating a free email newsletter. By offering free advice, products, or services you can get potential customers to opt-in to your email list. This way you can reach interested customers over time and refresh their memory about your products or services.

3. Generate consistent long term sales by regularly providing relevant newsletters to your opt-in users. Providing your potential customers with useful materials will build trust and lower your unsubscribe rate.

4. Use a reliable and inexpensive auto responder service that will consolidate all of your email lists. Using a service like aweber.com you can create unlimited auto responders and have potential customers opt-in to your email lists from any where. (website, blog, etc.) You can create the opt-in forms and have scheduled messages sent automatically or manually to all of your members.

5. Generate more sales and credibility through offering useful series of emails that can be sent by your auto responder over several different emails. Keep the series of emails related, promoting a relevant product or service.

6. Encourage your recipients to forward the emails to their friends, relatives, and colleagues. This will increase the amount of exposure and improve the reach of your email marketing broadcast.

These are just a few ideas to consider when developing your own email marketing campaign. Email marketing is extremely affordable and is a powerful tool consistently generating long term sales and contact with potential customers.
